No More Countdown

8 months of hard work, long working days, being over tired and stressed out, worried, anxious... and some how still excited, hopeful, and full of faith. Those 8 months have been crazy and incredibly rewarding. And they are all done.

Our time with family is up. And it is more difficult than I had expected. Birthdays, laughs, late night video game playing, movies, dinners, and the incredible wedding (congrats again Paul and Kelee !) But, as we already knew, it was only temporary. We have other things to move on to. Other places to see. Other people to love.

Everything has worked out in exceptional detail. Such finely strewn detail that we could not deny that something much bigger than ourselves has been helping us along. Pushing us beyond our limits and comfort zones. Every time we had doubts or fears it was already decided and under control.

Thanks to all the family that was so excited to chat with us about Guatemala when we were home. It felt great to know that people are excited and interested in what we are doing. We both hope to be able to share our experiences and travels with all of you, whether in our blog, or Facebook, or the few who will actually visit.

One of my favorite Bible verses. Seems fitting tonight :)

“Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” Luke 9:58
